iPod Worries

I installed my camera software in my new computer, but when I tried to install the iPod software, the computer said I couldn't install it. I'm hoping this means that my new computer is designed to handle iPods.

Hopefully plugging in my iPod won't wipe it. I guess I'll find out.

Wish me luck!

Lost Remotes

How is possible for me to lose my TV remote in my tiny little apartment? I can understand how my mom can misplace hers -- she lives in a big house. (Although I still don't get how it ends up upstairs by her computer when the TV is downstairs, but that's another matter...) But seriously, where is my TV remote?? I can find my VCR remote, my DVD remote, my other VCR remote, but not my TV remote. Usually when I lose track of a remote, it turns up relatively quickly. But I can't find it this time.

Sigh. I'm sure it's around here somewhere.

It's Official!

I've turned into my mother. I've already taken over baking Christmas cookies, but today I bought Christmas supplies for next year -- they were half off!

Quote of the Week

From the always awesome Fug Girls:

[I'm a] huge fan of the seminal tune "I Love Trash," -- truly, it's neck and neck with "Rubber Ducky" as the best Sesame Street song ever, in my opinion, with honorable mention going to "C Is For Cookie," which I hear has been replaced by "Cookies Are a Sometimes Food," which, I'm sorry, is bullshit, because cookies are an ALWAYS food, they're just not a MASS QUANTITIES food. Why you gotta play me like this, Sesame Street?"

TV Annoyances

I've got two right now...

First of all, I'm bummed Helio won DWTS. When it got down to Helio, Mel, and Marie, I thought that as long as Marie didn't win, I would be happy. But when they called Helio's name, I discovered that I was disappointed. I guess I was subconsciously rooting for Mel.

Secondly, Lifetime, in its infinite, Fox-like wisdom, has decided that the season (and, I assume, series) finale of Blood Ties should only be available online. Yes, that's right, they're not going to air it on their network. I can only watch it online. That's annoying for several reasons, but the thing that bugs me the most is that I can't record it.

Boo! Hiss!

Quote of the Week

From Dilbert, but Scott Adams:

Catbert [the evil H.R. director]: Wally, our auditors found 40 gigabits of bikini pictures on your PC. That is grounds for dismissal. How do you plead?

Wally: Innocent. Technically, they didn't find any pictures. What they found were zeroes and ones resting harmlessly on magnetic media. It was the auditors themselves who activated those harmless bits to form pictures on the screen. I demand that those godless auditors be fired! And, if it's not too much trouble, I'd like my zeroes and ones back.
