Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
From "Dead or Alive" (4.16):
Michael: I thought you hated the idea of me working for the government again.
Fiona: Oh, I do. But I want you to have a choice.
Michael: You want me to have the choice, but you want me to choose to turn it down? Either way, don't we end up at the same place?
Fiona: Michael, I hope you're never in a situation where your survival depends on your ability to understand relationships. You'll be dead in seconds.

USA Advertisements
USA (a cable channel) does these neat little commercials for their shows where they put characters from two different shows in the same scene. These are my favorites:
"What Grenade?" (Burn Notice/White Collar)
"This Is My Wallet" (White Collar/Psych)
"What Grenade?" (Burn Notice/White Collar)

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
Tonight's the season finale!
From the pilot episode (i.e. 1.01):
Madeline: You know, you missed your father's funeral. By eight years.
Michael: The last time I talked to him, he said, "I'll see you in Hell, boy," so I figured we had something on the books.

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
There's a new Burn Notice episode tonight! And I didn't know about it! I only found out because I follow Jayda Evans (the Seattle Storm reporter) on Twitter and she mentioned it! What is the world coming to?!!?!?!?!
I blame moving.
Anyway....
From "Army of One" (5.10):
Madeline: Michael, what are you doing?
Michael: Putting blood on my shirt.
Madeline: Well that can't be very sanitary.

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
From "Shot in the Dark" (3.07):
Michael: I told the kid I would help. If you want to sit this one out, you can.
Sam: No, no. I get it. Little kid, abusive dad, it kind of hits home, so I'll give you that one. But when the time comes to rescue a bunch of rich women trapped in a brewery, you better step up.

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
From "Family Business" (episode 1.05):
Jake: They're expecting my answer today. What do I say?
Michael: Well, since they're probably planning on killing you if you say anything else, I'd suggest, "Yes."

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
I'm ready for Burn Notice to come back. Unfortunately, I still have to wait a couple more months. In the meantime:
From "Fearless Leader" (episode 3.04):
Fiona: So, Randall's off to party in CancĂșn with my client's money.
Michael: Look at the bright side, Fi: you weren't killed.
Fiona: Oh, please. If a nuisance like Randall can kill me, then I deserve it.

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
From "Out of the Fire" (4.18, the season four finale):
Brennan: $122,654.37 [Michael and Sam exchange puzzled glances.] That's how much I've spent in the last year keeping tabs on [you].
[pause]
Michael: Thank you?
In other news, Burn Notice won't be back until next summer. Which is normal, in that they always start in the summer. But! Usually they finish the previous season in February. Now we have to wait six months for new eps! SIX MONTHS!!! How will we survive? Thank goodness for DVDs!

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
From "Breaking and Entering" (episode 2.01):
Michael: It seems the people who burned me want me for a job. For now, that's all I got.
Sam: A job? Does it pay?
Michael: More of a "we'll kill you if you don't do it" type of thing.
Sam: Ah. I never liked those.

From "Neighborhood Watch" (episode 4.05):
Michael: Good news. I think Kendra just found us. Grey sedan right behind you.
Fiona: Do you think she's been sitting on this place?
Michael: She probably figured we'd have to bring the tape drive at some point. Which we did! Still think this is a dead end?
Fiona: It is if she kills us.

From "Double Booked" (episode 2.08):
Michael: Right now, I've got to do a job.....with Larry.
Sam: Larry? Dead Larry? [laughing] Oh, man, I hated that guy!
Michael: He's back.
Sam: OK, I hate him present tense. He's a bad influence Mike, don't tell me you're working with him?
Michael: I'm not working with him, I'm working against him.
Sam: Well in that case, can I help?

Quote of the Day: Jeffrey Donovan
This week's TV Guide has an interview with Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice, awesome show), Matt Bomer (White Collar, fun show), and Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains, which I don't watch).
interviewer: One Burn Notice promo goes, "Michael Westen has been blown up, punched, kicked, slapped, chased, sliced, kidnapped, ambushed, shot and, of course, burned." Aren't you sore?
Jeffrey Donovan: It's taking its toll. I blew out my arm the first year. I cut my arm second season. Third season, an explosion burned my eyebrows off. This season I got a herniated disc. [Turns to Feuerstein] Now, when you grab a scalpel, do you ever, like, pull your wrist?
Mark Feuerstein: So far so good.
Jeffrey Donovan: Or when you flip off your surgical apron, do you ever pull your back?
Mark Feuerstein: OK, OK. I get it. I'm sorry [my character] doesn't get to run through a field of mortars every week.
Jeffery Donovan: And Matty, when you straighten your tie and wink, did you ever pull an eye muscle?
Matt Bomer: No.

Quote of the Day: Burn Notice
Burn Notice is back! Hooray for season 4!
This quote is from last season's finale, "Devil You Know" (episode 3.16):
Agent Callahan: Look at the file! You saw it already! Everything's there! It's documented!
Madeline: And these are all lies!
Agent Callahan: I saw it with my own eyes! I saw your son attack a police officer, Mrs. Westen! He nearly killed a man! Your son shot at me! He tried to kill me! You live in a fantasy world, lady! You have no idea who your son really is!
Madeline: I know this: if Michael wanted to kill you, you'd be dead. I know exactly who my son is!

From "False Flag" (episode 1.10):
[Sam hands Doug a bulletproof vest.]
Sam: Here ya go, Doug: my lucky vest.
Doug: Thanks.
Sam: It's a little worn, but it'll do the trick.
Doug: Are these bullet holes?
Sam: Yeah, I broke it in for you.

From "Old Friends" (episode 1.4):
Sam: If I lose my pension, you're gonna be changing my diapers when I'm 95 and drooling.
Michael: Sam, I would never let that happen. I'd smother you with a pillow first.

Quote of the Week
I hate to do two Burn Notice quotes in a row, but...
[Fiona is trying to calm down a woman whose son has been kidnapped.]
Fiona: Patricia, I want you to try something. It's a relaxation exercise I do in situations like this. I want you to close your eyes, breathe deep, and picture a peaceful mountain stream. Can you do that? Then picture yourself drowning the kidnapper in the stream. You're taking a rock from the stream and raising it above your head, and --
Michael: Fi.
Fiona: -- with tremendous force, you're bringing the rock --
Michael: Fi!

Burn Notice is back -- yay!!!
Sam: I think our only play is to create a distraction over there.
Fiona: How distracting?
Sam: More than a firecracker, less than a neutron bomb.
