Quote of the Day: Wonderfalls

It's been almost a year since I left the retail world, but this quote still speaks to me on a fundamental level. From "Karma Chameleon" (1.03):

Bianca: [to store customers] Come again!

Jaye: Don't encourage them.

Quote of the Day: Wonderfalls

From "Crime Dog" (1.5):

[Jaye and her brother Aaron were arrested. Their sister, Sharon, has gotten Jaye out.]

Jaye: Just try to get Aaron out.

Sharon: He's already out

Jaye:
Bastard! He sang?

Sharon:
No, you admitted to driving the car.

Jaye: Oohh, I sang...

Sharon: There are like six Law & Orders on the air now, have you not seen one of them?

Quote of the Day: Wonderfalls

From "Pink Flamingos (1.02):

[Jaye has inanimate objects -- in this case, a ceramic chicken -- telling her what to do.]

Eric: So, did you defy the chicken?

Jaye:
Uh-huh.

Eric: And how'd that work out for you?

Jaye: I think I may have killed a man.

Eric: Oh. So not as well as we'd hoped then?

I Miss "Pushing Daisies"

Bryan Fuller has created three TV shows I enjoy. (I think the only other person with that sort of track record is Joss "Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Dr. Horrible/Dollhouse" Whedon.)

The first I saw was actually the last: Pushing Daisies. Later I watched (on DVD) his oldest, Dead Like Me. Recently I (finally!) tracked down the one that came in between: Wonderfalls. (Thank you, Sno-Isle Library System!)

I'm really enjoying Wonderfalls, but it does make me miss Pushing Daisies.

So, here's an adorable bit from an early episode, featuring the amazing Kristin Chenoweth:

[Boo, hiss: I can't find one that embeds. Click here.]
