My best friend had her second baby! Mother and daughter are doing fine. (Tired, but fine.)
In Storm land, the rumor is that WNBA legend Tina Thompson will be signing with the Storm. Not really sure how I feel about this. She didn't play well last season. But maybe coming off the bench (which I'm assuming she will do, just like Katie Smith did/will do) will help her make the most of her playing time. I am a little amused by this, though: If Thompson joins the Storm, then they will have four -- count them! -- FOUR #1 draft picks on the team: Thompson (1997), Ann Wauters (2000), Lauren Jackson (2001), and Sue Bird (2002). That's insane! Also insane? Tina Thompson, Katie Smith, and Lauren Jackson are #1, #3, and #4 on the all-time WNBA scoring list.
