Team USA
The U.S. Women's National Basketball team is having a training camp in May -- after college and before the WNBA season.
Sue Bird and Swin Cash will attend, of course, along with lots of other stars of the WNBA. (Not Cappie Pondexder, though -- I guess choosing not to go to the World Championships got her kicked off the team!)
Two new players have also been invited: Britney Griner of Baylor (boo, hiss!) and Courtney Vandersloot (yay!!!!). I was hoping she would get an invite!
In other national team news: Lauren Jackson will miss the first half of the 2012 WNBA season to prepare for London. The Australian team is putting a lot of pressure on their players.
