Sew What?
I'm getting more comfortable using a needle and thread. Originally I only used them to do counted-cross stitch projects, but now I've started fixing some of my clothes. I've sewed down bra straps that kept slipping, I've put buttons in pants, and I've sewed up some new shirts that had the potential to pop open (why do they make them like that??).
It's quite nice to be able to fix my clothes instead of buying new ones (or relying on my mom). I feel very domestic. In fact, I think I'll go darn some socks right now!
(Wait a second -- does "darn" mean patch holes in socks? Or does it mean to re-knit socks? Let's see.... It's the former! Ok, now I can darn some socks.)
