KML Is Having a Very. Bad. Season.
She missed 8 games due to a right elbow injury. In last week's game against Louisville she hurt her left elbow. Now she's been diagnosed with mono, and will be out 3-6 weeks.
That's the rest of the regular season, possibly the conference tournament, and possibly part or all of the NCAA tournament.
That really stinks. Poor kid. :(
And this tweet nicely sums up what position UConn is in now:
"Wow, KML out with mono for 3-6 weeks. That leaves UConn with one bench player until [Brianna] Banks' ankle heals. Plus two walk-ons."

The decision to have such a sparse team and then not even develop all the players they do have, might lead to UCONN's downfall this year. :(

I agree about the sparse team -- bringing in only one freshman is still crazy to me -- but I disagree about developing players. Kiah Stokes has gotten a lot of playing time this year, and has been doing well. Brianna Banks has been injured a lot. Saniya Chong seems to be going through a freshman slump (similar to Stewart last year). I'm hoping she'll pull it all together soon.
