Storm News
We were surprised that Nakia Sanford wasn't at the game tonight, and wasn't announced as being injured / sick. It turns out she's left the team. It will be interesting to see who they pick up. Maybe Bravard?
A good win tonight, and Richard "WNBAlien" Cohen was impressed with Coach Agler's response to Phoenix's new zone defense:
"Actually liking some of the stuff Storm are doing to shift Merc zone. Better than LA or Lynx did. Just not converting it into points. Seriously, [LA coach] Carol Ross, [Minnesota coach] Cheryl Reeve, check this tape. Wayyy better execution of making zone think and shift and break. Nice job [Coach Agler]. In case you hadn't noticed, Agler and Storm ripped Merc zone to bits so comprehensively, Phoenix have switched back to man-to-man."
