UConn Won! UConn Won!
I predicted Louisville would beat Cal (they did) and I hoped UConn would beat Notre Dam -- and they did! Woo-hoo!!!
Even with an 83-65 final score, I didn't really relax until the final buzzer sounded.
Breanna Stewart was definitely the player of the game (29 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 4 blocks).
I was also really impressed with her fellow freshman post player, Morgan Tuck. She wasn't spectacular, but she was solid defensively and offensively. And with junior center Stefanie Dolson still battling leg and foot injuries (Coach Auriemma has joked that she's playing on "half a leg"), it's really important to have another post player playing well.
The championship game is Tuesday and I'm already nervous. UConn's playing great right now, but Louisville's been playing out of their minds lately. (Check out this amazing fast break: Shoni Schimmel with a no-look pass to Jude Schimmel.
