Hooray!
My beloved Kelly Faris ends her college career with a win! And check out her box score: 16 points (including 4-7 from three!), 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and a block.
Probably the most adorable moment of the game was at the end, when Coach Auriemma had cleared his bench and put red-shirt senior (and Connecticut native) Heather Buck in the game. She got a steal, drove to the other end of the court, and made a lay-up. The UConn bench went CRAZY! They were so excited for her. As the announcers said, you would have thought she made a game-winning shot! But they were just so happy to see her get a basket in her last game.
My favorite photo (that I've seen so far) is this one of the two UConn #23's: Maya Moore and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis. Awww!
