A Hard Fought Loss
The Storm had seven players for their game against L.A. tonight. (An eighth, Tina Thompson, played less than five minutes.)
Considering that, they put up an impressive fight. But, alas, they still lost.
They were actually ahead at the end of the first quarter, and only down by two at halftime. But L.A.'s depth and talent were just too much.
Minnesota's up next. Hopefully Sue Bird will be feeling better. Hopefully Lauren Jackson will be back in Seattle and feeling well enough to play. Hopefully Tina Thompson's knee injury will be healed enough so she can play more than five minutes.
Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully.... Against the best team in the WNBA.
On Thursday the Storm finally got to 10-10. I think after Tuesday we'll be back down to 10-12, and have to fight to get back to .500 again. Sigh.
