Storm Win in Overtime!!!
I wasn't planning on watching today's game. It wasn't on TV, and I couldn't watch online because Ped and I spend the afternoon hooking up my new computer. (Thanks again, Ped!)
After yesterday's dreadful loss to the not-very-good New York Liberty, I figured this game was a sure loss. They were playing the Connecticut Sun, who lead the Eastern Conference and play especially well at home.
Right before Ped and I left my house to meet the rest of the family for a birthday-birthday dinner, I asked him to check the Storm score on my brand-new computer. Lo and behold, the Storm won!
So, of course, after dinner I had to watch the whole game!
It was a good game, close all the way through. Camille Little had an outstanding game with 27 points and 9 rebounds. Along the way she picked up 5 fouls, but she just kept playing aggressive.
The weirdest moment, however, was when Sue Bird -- again! -- missed TWO FREE THROWS late in the game. What is the world coming to??
Good win, though! Next up is @ L.A. on July 7th, in a game that will be on ESPN2. We got our butts kicked by L.A. three times early in the season when we were playing poorly and they were playing well. Now the situations are reversed... let's hope we can reverse the game result, too!
