Storm Birthdays, Videos, and Quotes

Alysha Clark and Svetlana Abrosimova both celebrated birthdays this week. Clark tweeted a picture of their birthday dinner.

Svetlana Abrosimova appeared on Northwest Sports Tonight last week:

WNBA Action did a little thing about the "player with highest basketball IQ". Skip to the one minute mark:

On twitter, someone told Svetlana Abrosimova, "you actually got a louder cheer than Sue [Bird]!" Abrosimova responded, "that's impossible:)) Sue was amazing last night!!!" It made me smile; I don't know why!

Regarding Saturday's loss in L.A., Richard "WNBAlien" Cohen said, "There wasn’t much basketball worth talking about in the fourth quarter. With another game today against Phoenix, if Brian Agler could’ve cleared his bench he would have – there just weren’t enough healthy bodies to send in."

Discussing yesterday's win against Phoenix, he said, "The only worry Seattle had in the second half was foul trouble. With only eight players available, and only two of them actual posts, Brian Agler didn’t have many options when players like [Ewelina] Kobryn, [Katie] Smith, [Shekinna] Stricklen and [Camille] Little started amassing fouls. It left some of us checking the rule book to see what happens if a team drops below 5 healthy, non-fouled out players. For the record, no, they don’t play with four – the final fouled-out player stays on the court, and any personal foul from that point on also becomes a technical."
