One of These Things Is Not the Same
Results of game one of the first round of the playoffs:
Minnesota defeats San Antonio, 66-65.
Atlanta defeats Connecticut, 89-84.
Indiana* defeats New York, 74-72.
Seattle defeats Phoenix, 80-61.
Three of those games were very close. Our game? Not so much.
(Actually, there's another standout: Atlanta was the only road team to win. That's how they started the playoffs last year, too. The Eastern Conference better watch out!)
*In the Indiana/New York game, Fever guard Erin Phillips hit the game-winning shot. If her name sounds familiar, it's because she signed with the Storm before the season began. She was traded to Indiana as part of that three team trade that brought Katie Smith to Seattle.
