Meanwhile...
While Minnesota and Atlanta prepare to face each other in the last few games of the season, Storm players have moved on.
But first! A "thank you" video that's pretty darn cute:
Sue Bird had surgery on her hip. Swin Cash tweets that it went well.
Swin Cash, meanwhile, is in Italy with (a very eclectic version of) Team USA:

Notice the crowd shot between Sue and Ashley's messages. The player in the blue uniform sure looks like she travels. Bad refs. Bad refs.
I was hoping that Cappie Pondexter's absence from the spring Team USA training camp meant that she was off the team. Unfortunately, that was a "punishment" (???) for her racist comments following the Japan earthquake/tsunami.
I'm also cranky that she was put back in the running for the Olympic team after she bailed on the World Championship team that qualified us for the Olympics in the first place.
I REALLY don't like her.

Actually, I think the player you're referring to is in-bounding the ball, and therefore not traveling. (I also think the uniform's supposed to be purple, since that's a Phoenix jersey. It took me a while to figure out who was in the jersey, though, because there was no #50 for the 2011 Mercury. Then I realized that was a 2010 jersey, and deduced -- correctly, because I double-checked -- that it was Tangela Smith.)
