Katie Smith Goes Craaaaay-Zeeeeee!
Seriously, she just went off on Phoenix tonight. Twenty-six points. TWENTY-SIX! In the previous seven games she scored 28 points total.
If the last Phoenix/Seattle game was a Diana Taurasi/Sue Bird battle, this was a Diana Taurasi/Katie Smith battle. This one we won!
Jayda Evans, the Seattle Times reporter who covers the Storm, is on her honeymoon, so some dude named Percy Allen did the liveblog instead. I think he needs his hearing checked: "The Storm are being introduced. It's impossible to tell who gets the loudest ovations. However, fans love Jackson, Cash and Bird." Ummm.... The cheers for Jackson and Cash are loud, but I've always thought that Sue Bird got the loudest cheers. What do you think, Iris?
