Great Game!

The Storm won! And in a serious, we're-not-kidding way! San Antonio only scored 55 points. The whole Storm team was hustling for the whole game. Lots of good rebounds and saving-the-ball-from-going-out-of-bounds. Tanisha Wright had three steals in the first two minutes of the third quarter. A-Rob had another strong game. (My favorite play of hers was when she jumped high in the air, stretched out her long, long arms, and stole a high pass between two San Antonio players. And, perhaps best of all, they got the win with Sue Bird dishing seven assists, but only playing 23 minutes and scoring two points.

Despite the lead in the fourth quarter, Krystal Thomas never played. When I got home, I found out that she had been dropped by the Storm. No word on who will replace her, but the deadline is soon (maybe today?). I'm hoping for Jana Vesela, of course!

In other news, Jayda Evans (of the Seattle Times) recently wrote an article suggesting that Katie Smith was a bad trade for Seattle. Then in her liveblog of tonight's game, she wondered, "How do you eat words printed on the web? Well, I'm virtually chomping down, G Katie Smith having a good night off the bench. She has eight points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field. The Storm leads 60-35 with 8:38 left in the game."
