Bits o' Stuff
Radio interview with Sue Bird about the White House visit. As one of the DJ's said, "Now that the Mariners are sucking again, there's a lot riding on you guys, so don't screw it up!"
Jayda Evans' post about Lauren Jackson's surgery. Says LJ: "Meeting (President) Obama would have been one of the highlights of my life but it wouldn't win us another championship!!"
Over at WNBAlien, here's what Richard Cohen had to say about the Storm/Sun game: "The Storm just don’t quit. You have to give them credit for that, even if they don’t come out of this game with credit for much else."
From the Hartford Courant, an article about Sue Bird: "Although she couldn't pull it off Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena, whether shot or pass, few can finish like Bird. You want trust? Trust Suzanne Brigit Bird with the ball with the game on the line."
