Just Over a Week To Go....
AfterEllen did a nice preview of the 2011 WNBA season. In the bit about Seattle:
"A blog post that I refuse to link to claims Seattle players are getting too long in the tooth to play hard. If Katie Smith, Sue Bird, Swin Cash and Lauren Jackson read that, Seattle probably will not lose a single game."
Today was "media day" for the Storm. Here's Swin Cash, Lauren Jackson, and Sue Bird posing in the new uniforms.
Jayda Evans asked the Storm players "What is a champion?". Results were mixed.
In addition to taking a paycut, Katie Smith also gave up her jersey number. She was 30, but Tanisha Wright uses that here. So, she chose to use her Olympic jersey number. (She has three gold medals, you know!)
