Catching Ducks

A couple of months ago I made peanut brittle for the first time. It turned out pretty good, but the liquid candy didn't pour very well (like the picture in the cookbook implied it should).

I figured I boiled it too long, so this time I took it off the stove earlier. Bad move. Not only was it still not-pourable, but it didn't turn into candy when it cooled. (It's all crumbly.)

I think I'll try a different recipe next time...
