Quote of the Day: Swish Appeal
Yesterday UConn (#2) played Duke (#3). Everyone expected a tightly contested game.
It was a blow-out. UConn dominated, wining 87-51.
From Swish Appeal's review of the game:
"Key statistic: It's really hard to win games if you shoot 15% in the first half."
The first half was particularly horrible for Duke. The score at halftime was 41-15. It took them over five minutes to score a basket. (Which made it 15-2.) And here's some fun numbers from the first half:
Duke team: 15 points, 11 boards, 1 assist
Maya Moore: 16 points, 6 boards, 3 assists

Not everyone predicted a close game. Massey Ratings predicted a 70-55 victory.
He hasn't updated his computer rankings since Sunday. At that time, UConn is ranked 1 and Duke is ranked 6.
