Things I'm Thankful For....

Awesome WNBA clips on YouTube!

From the 2010 All-Star Game, Team USA Coach Auriemma makes a bet with Tina Charles. (My favorite bit is at 0:13, when she says, "Fifty!?!". Also fun: Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi's reactions at 1:38-1:50.)

This is a really awesome Lauren Jackson fanvid. Right at the beginning she imitates the way announcers announce her at the beginning of games. Very cute! Iris: you might recognize the song in the video -- it's the same one used at Storm games.

Here's two radio interviews with Sue Bird. The first is from right before the finals started. The second -- which has two parts -- is from before Game 3 of the finals.

Remember Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals? (Of course you do!) Here's a video from a Storm fan who attended the game in Phoenix!

Speaking of That Game... Here are the full press conferences with Brian Agler and Sue Bird/Lauren Jackson. I'd seen clips before, but not the whole thing.

This is a generic WNBA promo. But isn't that little girl at the beginning the cutest thing you've ever seen? Awwww.....

A blast from the past: Top 10 assists of 2008. Guess who shows up twice? (#4 and #2.)

Another oldie: a quick interview with Lauren Jackson from 2009(?).

Yet another oldie: an interview with Sue Bird, also from 2009(?).

More from 2009: game day with Swin Cash.

The Storm's All-Decade Team.

Last year Iris and I really loved watching Shannon "Pee Wee" Johnson play, but that ended up being her last year. Here's a video the Storm made for her retirement. (At 1:18 there's a picture of her and Swin Cash when they both played for the Detroit Shock!)

Going waaaaay back the past: The 2005 All-Star Game "Skills Challenge". Becky Hammon vs. Sue Bird. Guess who wins?

Jumping back to recent history, here's the Championship Trophy presentation. Skip to 2:55 when Lauren Jackson is given the Finals MVP award. As soon as Donna Orender brings up the Finals MVP award, Sue Bird immediately looks over at Lauren Jackson and makes a "ooh!" face. (LJ, of course, modestly shakes her head.)

Here's another video I could watch every day.
