Quote of the Day: Geno Auriemma
Geno Auriemma is the coach at UConn (and has been for many years). He is also the current coach of Team USA.
Before Game 2 in Phoenix, he was asked who he was rooting for:
“I told Sue [Bird] and D[iana Taurasi] that I was rooting for both of them. But, really, the team that goes up 1-0 in the series is the one that I root for. I know Diana won’t go down without a fight, but if I didn’t tell her that I was pulling for her she would get mad and wait a week to show up at camp.”
