Yet Another Close One

Here's my rundown of the game:

Close, close, close.

They pull ahead.

We pull ahead.

They catch up.

Close, close.

One minute left, we're ahead.

Fifty seconds left, they're ahead.

Twenty seconds left, we're ahead.

Six seconds left, they have the ball.

They miss.

WE WIN!!!!!!!!

Whew! I really thought we had it in the bag when we pulled ahead by 12, but those pesky L.A. veterans made it close.

With this win, Seattle has tied the record for number of games won in the regular season, and set a new record for the best home record of all time (17-0!).

The ESPN announcers kept talking about the playoff games next week: "On Wednesday, Seattle will play.... somebody. On Thursday, Phoenix will play....somebody."

With this win, Seattle knocked Minnesota out of the playoffs (it's complicated), which is good, because this means that all the western teams in the playoffs (Phoenix, LA, and San Antonio) are teams that Seattle swept during the regular season. Whether LA is 3rd and San Antonio is 4th or vice versa is still to be determined....
