Quote of the Day: Seattle Storm Website
I found this in the "Storm History" section of the website:
2001: A New Hope
July 3 : The Storm falls to the Mystics 72-69 at KeyArena in the first quadruple-overtime game in WNBA history. Jackson scores a career-high 24 points and grabs a career-high 12 rebounds en route to recording the franchise’s first double-double. She also blocks a career-high five shots. Jackson and Washington’s Vicky Bullet both played a WNBA-record 55 minutes.
[Mostly I was amused by the idea that 24 points could be a career high for Lauren Jackson. I believe her current career high is 47, which is tied for the most points scored in a game in the WNBA. Her points per game this season is currently 21.4, and in 2007 (the year of her second MVP) it was 23.8.]
