Shocking News: Sometimes the IRS Doesn't Suck

I got a notice from the IRS today. It said that they noticed I didn't take a credit that I was eligible for, so they took it for me. It changed my refund from $233 to $633!

'Twas a nice surprise, let me tell you!

For the record, I did look into that credit, but I didn't think I was eligible. But if the IRS thinks I am, who am I to argue?

I wonder if you qualified for the same exemption in 2008, 2007, & 2006. If so, you can submit corrected forms and get more of your money back.

It was a new thing, so it wouldn't have applied to previous years.
