Remember the scene in "Empire Strikes Back" when Han is frozen in carbonite? Just before he's frozen, Leia calls out, "I love you!". Han replies, "I know."
The story is that his line was originally "I love you, too" but Carrie Fisher kept messing up (read: she was probably high/drunk) and Harrison Ford got sick of saying his line over and over again. So, he finally said, "I know" instead. George Lucas/the director/whoever, liked his improv better and kept it.
