Jericho
Getting canceled was the best thing that could have happened to Jericho. When it came back for a shortened second season (after a fan movement got it un-canceled) it was better than ever.
The first season had some good ideas, but often got bogged down with dull stories that took too long to resolve themselves. There were a lot of awesome characters (Jake, Hawkins, Heather...), but there were some not-so-awesome characters, too.
The second season pared things down. The producers knew they had only had seven episodes to tell their story, so they cut out all the fat, and just focussed on a couple of key storylines that featured the best characters. (Mostly. Less Emily would have been nice.)
So, I'm actually glad that it got canceled. The first time, anyway. The second cancellation sucks.
It was getting so good! Now it's gone.
And I'll never find out who wins the Second American Civil War.
