Murphy's Law: Bus Corollary

If the bus you're trying to catch is early (causing you to miss it), the next bus will be late.

That is counter-intuitive as first glance. If the first bus is running a bit early, then traffic and bus passengers are light and the next one should be early, too. But if that early bus driver has been arriving early at a whole series of bus stops, then the bus driver following him has been slowed down by the added passengers missed by the first guy. Your corollary makes sense.

I didn't say it wasn't logical. I was just pointing it out.

BTW, the reverse is true, too. While the bus after an early bus is often full and slow, a bus after a late bus is usually empty and quick!

Oh, and Geo, I'm glad you got a chuckle. I got to stand across the street from a homeless shelter for 45 minutes! But hey, as long as you're amused... ;)
