Technology? Blech.
I've been having issues with my household technology lately. I've had DVD's that won't play, a computer that freezes up under the slightest provocation, and now a TV that's "backfeeding" power, causing my cable (and, since it went through the same wires, my internet) to go out.
Grrrrr......
Maybe I'll look into that Luddite thing. Except that would mean giving up my microwave... Never mind!

Sorry to hear about your "issues." But what is the difficulty in lighting a fire in a woodstove to heat your food? All you have to do is cut down a few trees, cut them into short pieces, split them into small pieces, haul the wood into your house and put it in the stove, light the stove, and wait an hour until the stovetop gets hot enough to boil water. I am sure your great-grandmothers for many generations were very familiar with the procedure. :)
